Preventative Dental Care
Staying up-to-date with regular preventative dental care is essential to keeping your mouth healthy. Prevention of decay and gum disease starts at home by following recommended oral hygiene practices and seeing our dental team at Van Wormer Family Dentistry every six months.
By keeping your regular preventative dental appointments, you can make sure to stay ahead of any potential problems, including cavities, gum disease, loose fillings, and more.

-
Comprehensive Oral Exam & Teeth Cleaning
We recommend everyone visit us for a comprehensive oral exam every six months. Your exam will include a thorough dental cleaning from one of our dental hygienists, digital x-rays (annually), and an oral examination by our dentist, Dr. Van Wormer.
If Dr. Van Wormer sees anything on your x-rays or during your exam that needs further treatment, he will talk you through your treatment options and ensure you’re comfortable and all of your questions are answered.
-
Desensitizing Treatments
Do you struggle with tooth pain when you eat hot or cold foods? You could be suffering from tooth sensitivity. Be sure to mention your concerns at your next appointment with Dr. Van Wormer and our dental team can discuss your options for desensitizing treatments with you.
